APPLICATION :
The Ball Drop Impact Test is designed to determine the impact sensitivity of various types of energetic materials ranging from the most sensitive primary explosives to less-sensitive high explosives and pyrotechnic mixtures. It uses steel balls with diameters from 0.5 inch (8.35 grams) to 2 inches (534.7 grams) as the drop weights
