To determine the softening point of Bitumen. The temperature at which the bitumen disk softens and sags downward by a specified distance.

DESCRIPTION AND CONSTRUCTION:

Consists of 800mL beaker, 2 standard balls, shouldered rings, ball centering guides, ring holder, bottom plate and beaker cover with support rods. Order thermometer and heater separately.

Powder coated outer body, with hotplate type heating system and magnetic stirrer to heat the bath oil. Temperature control by energy regulator and measurement by a glass thermometer.
